Sauvignon Blanc
Sauvignon blanc is a green skinned grape variety originating historically from the Bordeaux region of France, although it is now widely cultivated throughout New Zealand and California.
This ancient variety has been scarcely developed in Argentina due to its growing behaviour. However, over the last few years its cultivation has expanded substantially.
From a well managed vineyard, this variety deploys its intense, wild bouquets, reminiscent of vegetables, chlorophyll and citrus. In other cases, this grape may develop white fruit bouquets, although this is not its most desirable primary descriptor.
Depending on the climate, its flavours can vary from aggressively grassy to sweetly tropical.
The phrase "cat's pee on a gooseberry bush" is often an experts expression of the Loire Valley and New Zealand examples and this is supposedly meant to be a complement!?
Tips: Chill and pair with fish or goats cheese. Also try with Sushi!
