Varietals

Chardonnay

Chardonnay is the queen of the classical white varieties and is the most widely planted, found throughout the world.

This green graped wine is believed to be named after the village of Chardonnay in the Mâconnais region of France. Research suggests that it originates from a cross between Pinot and the Croatian Gouais Blanc grape varieties.

In Argentina it is greatly appreciated due to its good ripening capabilities and its ability to produce a broad range of wines, from bases for sparkling wines to full-bodied varietals fermented in oak barrels, as well as fresh and elegant "woodless" wines.

Their most frequent primary descriptors are tropical fruits and apple.

Tip: Try with a soft French cheese such as Camembert or equally a good herbed cheese
